About us

We're a Northern Virginia ABA provider built around one idea: every child deserves the chance to grow, learn, and thrive, and every family deserves a team that listens.

Our mission

Our mission is to deliver high-quality, individualized ABA therapy that gives children with autism the skills to communicate, connect, and live more independently, and gives their families the tools and confidence to support them.

Why we started

Northern Virginia Autism Therapy was founded to give local families a provider that feels personal. We know how stressful it can be to navigate a new diagnosis, long waitlists, and insurance paperwork. We wanted to make that process easier and to offer care that treats each child as an individual, not a program.

Today our team of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) works with families across Northern Virginia, in homes, schools, and community settings.

  • CompassionateWe lead with kindness and patience, and we celebrate every child's progress, big or small.
  • IndividualizedEvery treatment plan is built from a thorough assessment and your family's goals.
  • CollaborativeParents are partners. We coach, share data, and make decisions together.
  • Evidence-basedOur methods follow current research and the ethics code of the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.

Who you'll work with

Every child's care team is led by a BCBA and supported by trained, supervised therapists.

Board Certified Behavior Analysts

Your BCBA assesses your child, designs the treatment plan, supervises therapy, leads parent training, and reviews progress with you regularly.

Registered Behavior Technicians

Your child's RBT works with them one-to-one, following the treatment plan and recording progress at every session.

Intake and family support

Our office team helps with scheduling, insurance verification, and authorizations, and is your first call for any question.

How we work with families

From your first call, here's what to expect.

  1. Reach out

Call us or send the form. We'll listen to your concerns and answer your questions, with no obligation.

  2. Insurance and intake

We verify your benefits, gather your child's diagnosis paperwork, and request authorization from your insurer.

  3. Assessment

A BCBA meets your child, observes them in daily routines, and writes a personalized treatment plan with you.

  4. Therapy begins

Your child's therapist starts one-to-one sessions, and your BCBA tracks progress and adjusts the plan as your child grows.
